Fuse TV – Crate Diggers: J Dilla’s Vinyl Collection

What I listen to now is totally different from what I played in ninth grade (think rock bands & mosh pits). In middle school, the closest I had come to Hip-Hop was N*E*R*D, Lupe Fiasco and Kanye West (who has opened my ears to a lot of talented musicians & that’s only one reason why he’s just my favorite person ever haha). It wasn’t until my junior year of high school I really got into Hip-Hop. Unfortunately, I can’t pinpoint the first time I heard a Dilla track or how I might’ve come across him (possibly through Slum Village), but you can’t help but respect his legacy.

While we’re at it, I’ll throw in this Sango remix of SV’s “Climax” produced by the Yancey boy himself.
